As an international student, sometimes it is hard to build communication with a Japanese student, especially for me who is lacks of Japanese language ability.
Thus, this activity could be a bridge for me to interact with other students and hone my Japanese language. As a result, I could be able to make a friend from various backgrounds.
Besides that, the program also offers an exciting program suitable for my interests. Interacting with Japanese nature and the people is a precious moment, and I think I have to try another experience by following another event.（NAGASAKI UNIVERSITY）

　高架下アイデアワークショップの活動を通して、高架下をより良くしていくため想像力とチームで話し合う力が大切だと感じた。
　大学生だけではなく様々な方々の参加者がいたので知り合いが増えてとても楽しかった。
　私にとって社会参画は大事だと思うのでボランティアを続けていきたいと思った。　（鎮西学院大学）

最初はみんな黙々とそれぞれ草を刈ったり抜いたりしましたが、あとになってくると喋り始めまして、楽しく話し合いながら、あっという間にたくさんの雑草を刈ることができました。そして近くにいろんな教会が点在しているようで、寄ってみるのも面白いです。(長崎大学・留学生）

It was my new experience to take off the grass. The duration of the volunteer work was suitable.
They provided us with tools to help with the work and gloves to protect our hands.
I met nice people, they offered us green tea, cake, and delicious grapes.
The other students with nice, I got to speak with them in Japanese and English.
I am glad to know more about the Japanese culture.

参加したきっかけは、日本の地方文化に関心を持って、その企画のコンテンツは本当に魅力的だなと思ったからです。そして実際にその活動を通じて、多くの日本の方と交流ができたり、いりこ詰め放題などの豊富なイベントに参加したりして、日本地方ならではの生き生きした雰囲気がすごく感じられました。これからもぜひそういうような地域づくりのための活動に参加したいと思うのです。
