長崎を訪問した香港・李城璧中學の生徒３０名とGP学生１１名が交流会を7/24（木）に長崎大学の国際交流施設・葉國璽（ようこくじ）交流会館で開きました。

同校は香港の新界にある1982年創立の6年制の中高一貫教育校で日本語科目も持っており今回来訪した生徒は１４～１７歳とのことでした。

長崎の大学生と交流したい希望を受けGP学生が企画したメニューにより、自己紹介トークや英単語しりとりのあとグループに分かれて日本的な「折り紙」「けん玉」やアジア太平洋地域にも広く見られる「あやとり」など伝統的な「あそび」をいくつか取り上げ、同じ若い世代どうしでいっしょに手を動かしながら言葉をかけてお互いに交流を深めました。和やかでしかも活気あふれるグローバルな機会でした。

本件は長崎大学のボランティア支援プログラム「やってみゅーでスク」からの紹介情報を元にGP学生が企画・実行したボランティア事例です。

長崎市役所まちなか事業推進室でインターンシップ実習中でしたGP学生・田添奏子さんの声掛けにより、6月27日（金）に同推進室とGP学生有志が「まちぶらプロジェクト」について意見交換を長崎大学で行いました。

同推進室は、　“まちなかエリア” と呼ぶ５つの伝統的な市街区域の魅力を高め賑わいを取り戻すことに官民連携して取り組んでおり、この「まちぶらプロジェクト」にどうしたら若者が関わりやすくなるか考えていますが若い世代の団体とつながりが少ない課題がありました。

そこで今回、同室から「まちなか」のイベントなど情報をGP学生と共有できないか働きかけがあり、意見交換を通じて「地域の活性化」という共通の目的が分かってきてお互いのつながりができれば同室は若者のチカラを借りることができGP学生は地域を舞台とした活動に必要な情報やサポートを得られる可能性が明らかになりました。

具体的には、同室からの情報や企画をGP事務局へ直接持ち込んでもらえれば学生にスムーズに伝えられそうという共通認識が得られました。

逆にGP学生が市役所に向けて相談や企画提案をするアイデアも賛同されました。

佐世保会場120名定員、長崎会場150名定員で募集を行い長崎会場は応募多数のため厳正な抽選を行い、中高生と保護者が参加しました。

半年前からGP学生企画委員が会場下見や、内容を考えるための会議を開催する等準備をしてきました。当日は、佐世保会場で54名・長崎会場で57名の学生が運営スタッフとして参加し、6ブースに分かれ、それぞれ各学校の魅力を発信。

最後のフリートークタイムでは、中高生やその保護者からの質問に学生が答え、和気あいあいとした雰囲気の中イベントは終了しました。

運営スタッフとして参加した学生にとっても他校の学生との情報交換の場となり、大変貴重な機会となりました。

運営に携わった学生スタッフの尽力に加えてご来場いただいた中高生と保護者の皆さんのご協力により、滞りなく進行することができ、盛況のうちに終えることができました。

今後もこのイベントは毎年この時期に開催する予定です。

来年度も皆様のご参加をお待ちしています。

Students from 11 schools in Nagasaki Prefecture held an off-site open campus event to share the joys of studying in Nagasaki and the unique features of each school by their own words with junior and senior high school students. The event took place on Sunday, March 2nd, at Sasebo Civic Cultural Hall and Saturday, March 8th, at Dejima Messe Nagasaki.

Applications were taken for participants as junior high or high school students and their guardians, 120 at the Sasebo venue and 150 at the Nagasaki venue. Due to the large number of Nagasaki applicants, a strict drawing was conducted.

The GP Student Planning Committee had been preparing for the event for six months, including site inspections and meetings to plan the content.

On the day of the event, 54 students participated as staff members at Sasebo venue and 57 students at Nagasaki venue.

The event was divided into six booths, each showcasing the unique attractions of each schools.

During the final free talk time, students answered questions from junior and senior high school students and their parents with friendly and lively atmosphere.

For the student staff who participated in the event, it was also a valuable opportunity to exchange information with students from other schools.

Thanks to the cooperation of the attended junior and senior high school students and their parents with the GP student staff involved in the operation, the event proceeded smoothly and was a great success. This event is planned to be held annually at this time of year. We look forward to your participation next year as well.

2023年3/25(土)雲仙市で開催された「観櫻火宴2023」に、GP学生5名がボランティアとして参加しました。

国内でも有数の松明武者行列として知られるこのお祭り。今年は4年ぶりに復活したとのこと！雨天が心配されましたが、無事に晴れてよかったです！

お昼から集まったボランティア学生達は、お祭り前にお花見をしました。美しい桜を見ながら楽しいひと時を過ごせたようです。

そして、夜18時からお祭りがスタート！炎を手に行列を作る武者の姿は本当に圧巻でした。The日本を感じられるお祭りを見るため、海外からの観光客も多かったようです。中には甲冑を着て武者行列に参加する外国人の姿も！

学生たちは、お祭りの運営に携わりながら、地域の人や日本文化の魅力に触れることができました。とても充実した１日となったようです。

5 GP students volunteered at "KANOKAEN 2023" held in Unzen City on Saturday, March 25.

This festival is known as a SAMURAI warriors' parade in Japan. It was held for the first time in 4 years. Luckily it didn't rain.

Volunteer students enjoyed HANAMI, cherry blossom viewing before the festival. It seems that they had a great time while watching the beautiful cherry blossoms surrounded by rich nature.

After the festival started, volunteers helped handing torches to warriors and paraded with them. It was truly spectacular to see over a hundred warriors. There are also many tourists who visited from overseas.

While being involved in this volunteer, the students were able to learn event management and experience Japanese culture as well.

11月26日(土)と27日(日)、長崎市の水辺の森公園で「働く船の見学会」というイベントが行われ、GP学生たちもボランティアガイドとして参加しました。

このイベントは、海をテーマに活動するＮＰＯ法人が、長崎で活躍する船を知ってもらおう、と初めて企画したものです。海の砂を採取したり運搬したりする最新の船が公開され、子ども連れの家族などがその珍しい船の仕組みを見学しに来ました。参加者は大きな船に実際に乗り、砂を運ぶ巨大なコンベアー等を間近に見ることができました。ボランティアの学生たちは、ガイドをしながら船について学び、ドローンやVRゴーグルなども体験できたようです。

「ほかの港では造れないような船もいっぱい造っていることがわかった。珍しい船があることを他の人に知ってほしい。」「日本は子どものための体験学習が進んでいるとわかった。」等と話す学生もいました。このボランティア活動を通して、長崎で活躍する船を知るだけでなく、科学技術にも触れることができ、大変貴重な体験になったと思います。

On November 26th and 27th, a study tour was held on a ship at the port of "Mizube-no-mori" (Nagasaki Seaside Park), and students participated as volunteer guides.

This event was organized for the first time by a NPO in order to introduce Nagasaki ships to many people. They showed a ship that can be used to gather and transport gravel from seabed. A lot of families with children came to see it and volunteer students guided them. Visitors were able to actually board a large ship and see the heavy machinery and the conveyor carrying gravel up close. The volunteer students could also learn how the ship works and experience drones and VR goggles.

One of the volunteer students said, "I learned there are many ships which cannot be built in other ports and we cannot usually see. I want others to know about it." Another student said "I learned that Japan is advanced in hands-on learning for children." Through this volunteer experience, they could also experience the latest science and technology. It must have been a valuable experience for students.
