4月12日(月)、13日（火）にGP歓迎会を行いました！

当日は、GPの活動を参加者の皆さんに知っていただくために、まず去年の活動内容や企画委員の醍醐味についてプレゼンテーションを行いました。みなさん熱心に耳を傾けて聞いてくださり、とても嬉しかったです。

ありがとうございます！

また、その後のフリートークでは、GPメンバーも一緒に参加者の皆さんと自由におしゃべりを楽しみました。学校や学年・学部、国籍を超えて、真面目な話から面白い話まで様々な話をしました。

会を通して終始笑顔が絶えない雰囲気の中、フリートークが終了しても「まだしゃべり足りない！」という人もいたようで、楽しんでもらえたのではないかと思っています。

参加してくださった皆さん、本当にありがとうございました！

GPは今後も様々な活動を展開していきます。皆さんとまたお会いできる日を楽しみにしています♪

今年最後のGPイベント、イヤーエンドパーティーを開催しました！

「年末年始の各国の過ごし方」をテーマにGPオリジナルのすごろくを作成し、すごろくのマスに書かれた内容についておしゃべりし、楽しく交流することができました。日本の新年だけでなく様々な国の新年の過ごし方について知ることができ、とても楽しく有意義なイベントとなりました。

2020年のGPのイベントはこれで最後となります。今年は例年とは違い、様々な制限のある中でのGP活動となりましたが、コロナ禍でもこうして工夫してイベントを開催することができ、企画担当の学生たちは確かな手ごたえを感じることができたようです。そんな経験ができたのも参加者皆さんのご協力のおかげです。本当にありがとうございました！

これからも学生同士が交流でき学び合える楽しいイベントを企画したいと思いますので、来年もどうぞよろしくお願いします。

We held Year End Party on December 14 (Monday)! We enjoyed communicating each other through playing sugoroku we made and talking a lot. We learned about how to spend the New Year not only in Japan but also in foreign countries, so this event was very meaningful for us.

It was the last event of GP in 2020. Thanks to your cooperation, we could hold such events with taking measures of coronavirus. Thank you so much! We will hold exchange events next year, so please join our events again.

留学生・日本人学生に気軽に生け花を体験してもらおう！と企画した今回のイベント。花や器などの花材を手配するところから企画担当の学生が携わり、準備をしました。ときには公園に行って松ぼっくりを集めたり、アシスタントに研修を行ったりと、たいへんではありましたが、学生同士でその時間も楽しみつつ準備を進めました。

当日参加してくれたのは、日本人13名と留学生4名。留学生は、スペイン、ベラルーシ、ミャンマー、エジプトと様々な国からの参加となりました。

メインのカーネーションを中心に、思い思いに花や緑を選び、それぞれ個性のある作品を作ることができたようです。

このコロナ禍の日々でストレスを抱えつつ過ごしている学生もいたようで、終わった時には「こんなに花や緑と触れ合える時間を過ごせてリフレッシュできた！」と感想を話してくれた学生もいました。

参加者全員、大満足で会を終了することができました。企画を担当した学生は、「次回は、もう少し生け花の要素を取り入れた活動にしたい！」とのことですので、第2弾をお楽しみに☆

コロナ対策等たいへんでしたが、協力をしてくださったみなさんありがとうございました！

As we’re getting into the Christmas spirit, one of GP member students, who is “Ikebana” practitioner had come up with the idea in which both Japanese and international GP members could mingle over experiencing traditional Japanese art; ikebana (traditional flower arrangement) in a festive essence!

After all of efforts she made such as preparing not only basic items for arrangements but also carefully selecting several different flowers, leaves, and all sorts of ornaments which would be perfect to add Christmas atmosphere in arrangements, there turned out to be 17 participants attended the workshop (surely with facial masks and under measurements against the virus!). 

This was the first time to tap into traditional Japanese art for almost every participant, but everyone successfully created their floral arrangement with the unique idea.

International members from Belarus, Egypt, Myanmar, and Spain said with one voice; “spending time experiencing this aesthetic art with Japanese students has just released stress of working in a busy lab.”

This event host, GP girl member won a best practice of planning, preparing, learning by trial and error, and facilitating the workshop with thanking all rest of GP members who supported her in every aspect. Now she’s getting enthusiastic about holding another “ikebana” workshop focusing on that participants could develop means of self-expression by learning fundamental ikebana flower style. Then you guys out there please keep updated for the next announcement and looking forward to having you join us again!!

11月9日（月）にハロウィン交流会(ハロウィン)を行いました。班ごとに自己紹介をしたり、アイスブレイキングで楽しんだ後、ボランティア活動の一環でもある「クリスマスカード作り」を行いました。

コロナの影響で交流ができない中での貴重な機会ということもあり、参加学生はみな活動を楽しんでくれたようです。

ここで作成したクリスマスカードは、ボランティア活動支援やってみゅーでスク・Uサポより関係施設に送られる予定です。

参加者の感想としては、交流ができて嬉しかった。もっと交流をしたい！という意見が多く寄せられました。

これからも安全に気をつけつつ、交流の場を作っていけたらと思っています。参加者のみなさん、ありがとうございました。

Happy belated Halloween!!

GP hopefully held a second face-to-face gathering event since fall semester began to mingle while thoroughly abiding by the precautions and rules to avoid being infected with Covid-19.

There were ice-breaker games relevant to Halloween, making year-end greeting cards, and free chatting.

Most of foreign students participants are fellows from graduate uni or institutes and they have been crammed with everyday research and lab seminars, which have made them exhausted. But they could somehow took a fresh air and enjoyed interacting with GP Japanese buddies who are not usually acquainted with.

It was nice for them to have a look at Japanese-style school uniforms, in which some GP Japanese member girls had been dressing up as a part of Halloween costumes there.

Everything went friendly and cozy, never ever spooky, which actually should have been, given this event was named after “Halloween”, anyway, thanks for all of you attendees and look forward to having you again in another next event!

｢長崎発グローカル人材育成プログラム（以下「GP」）｣学生企画運営協議会では、自らを発信していく力を育成することを目的に、平成26年度からプレゼンテーション大会を開催しています。 

今年は10月24日（土）に長崎大学中部講堂にて開催しました。

毎年、新年度が始まると同時にGPメンバーはこのプレゼンテーション大会にまっしぐら！全員で力を合わせて動員やプレゼンター募集に動き出すのですが、今年は新型コロナウイルスの影響でいつもとは少し違うプレゼンテーション大会となりました。

例年行っている予選会は中止、もしかすると大会自体開催できないのではないかとも危ぶまれましたが、何とか規模を縮小して感染対策にも力を入れて実施することができました。

今回のテーマは「新（しん）〜私たちはどう生きるか〜」。

大会当日は、長崎大学と長崎外国語大学の5名のプレゼンターさんが実に個性豊かな新時代に向けての想いをプレゼンテーションしてくれました。

自分の思い描く未来の実現のために各専門分野で学び続ける学生の話や、ふるさとから離れて初めて気づいたふるさとへの愛について話す学生の話など、観客と審査員の皆さんには彼らの熱い思いが伝わったことでしょう。

また、企画運営を行ったGPスタッフメンバーは、この日を迎えることができてホッとしたと同時にたくさんのことを学ばせてもらいました。

大会運営に協力してくださった皆様、またご来場いただいた皆様に改めて感謝を申し上げます。

GPは、これからもこのようなイベントを通して次代に求められるグローカル人材を目指して活動していきます。今後の活動も楽しみにしていてください！

「GP夏の自由研究！長崎の大学が戦争や原爆をどんな風に乗り越えてきたかを知りたい！！」

あるGP企画メンバーの一言で動き出したこの企画。彼女は、長崎で活動している組織として、8月9日の長崎での出来事についてもう一度見つめ直し、自分の通う大学がどのように戦争を乗り越えたかを知ることで改めて平和について考える機会にしたい、と話しました。

また、県外からの学生や留学生と一緒に活動し、話し合うことで新たな発見もできるはずだと考え、夏休みを使って「平和さるく」企画を練り、イベントを開催しました。

イベント当日は、日本人学生留学生あわせて20名近くが長崎大学に集まり、大学構内の記念碑を見学するところからスタートしました。

市内には、たくさんの原爆関連遺構があります。爆心地公園や原爆資料館、浦上天主堂、山王神社の片足鳥居などの有名な場所から、活水中高校内の遺構や鎮西学院跡の碑など自分たちの身近な場所にある様々な遺構まで歩いて見学しました。

かなりの距離を歩く計画でしたが、お天気にも恵まれ、参加者同士の会話も弾み楽しく活動できました。また、留学生が予想以上にいろんなことを知っていて驚いたとのこと。活動を通して、お互いに刺激や学びを得る良い時間を過ごせたようです。

今日の活動内での写真や学びを資料として今後まとめ、10/24（土）のプレゼンテーション大会(※)の時に発表する予定です。

GP held “Peace Saruku (Walk)” in the beginning of October.

This initiative was originated from one of GP member student, who was keen to learn how educational institutions and academia in Nagasaki experienced the WWII and the atomic bombing on 8.9, 1945. She was also sure to clarify the “raison d’etre” of GP, which is based and run by the network of students belonged to 11 universities and colleges across Nagasaki. 

In the afternoon under the autumn sunny clear sky, nearly two dozen of participants including international students got gathered, then divided into a few groups to depart for each itinerary to go around memorials and remains as below;

<Group A>

Cenotaph at Nagasaki uni, Peace Park, A-bomwb ruins of the air raid shelter at Yamazato elementary school, Nagai Takashi Memorial Museum, Urakami Cathedral, Sakamoto campus of Nagasaki uni (approx. 0.5 km east-southeast of the hypocenter), and Sanno Shrine.

<Group B>

Cenotaph at Nagasaki uni, Ground zero for the A-bomb, Nagasaki A-bomb Museum, Chinzei School (approx. 0.5 km southwest of the hypocenter) and Chinzei Park monument.

For many youngsters, “8.9 A-Bombing in Nagasaki” is sometimes just a cold word in a book, or a miserable scene broadcasted once in a while, but this kind of hands-on excursion in which both Japanese and international students visit and see the sites together while mingling can promote the friendship based on peace and bring them new perspectives beyond textbooks.  

This outing event actually is to be expected to reviewed and summed up in a poster or a little leaflet so that could be enjoyed by other members who couldn’t make it to attend, or hopefully they will be unveiled and displayed at the upcoming GP presentation competition on 24th, Oct. 

9月18日、「キャンドルナイトボランティア」で飾るためのLEDキャンドルをGPメンバーで制作しました。

これまでオンライン中心でカフェトークをしたりディベート大会をしたりしていましたが、今年度初めての対面でのイベントをみなさんとても楽しみに参加してくれました。

コロナ感染防止対策をしながらの活動のため、制約される部分もありましたが、やはりみんな対面での活動を待ちわびていたようです。

距離を保ちつつ、消毒など注意しつつ、適度に会話も楽しみながらキャンドルを作りました。

この、「キャンドルナイト」というイベントは、コロナや災害などで続く暗いニュースの中、長崎の大学生が長崎の地から少しでも世の中を明るく照らし、若者の力で未来を明るくしよう！という目的のもと、長崎県内の学生ボランティアを支援する「やってみゅーでスク」が企画したものです。

その趣旨を理解し、参加者はそれぞれの想いを和紙に書きました。

「早くコロナが収まって留学に行けますように」「長崎・世界中に笑顔の花が咲きますように」「韓国料理が食べたい！(韓国留学生)」など、たくさんのメッセージやイラストで各自の想いを表現していました。

最後に、テストとして実際にライトアップした時にはその幻想的な光景に参加者から歓声が上がりました。

本番は10/9（金）！長崎県内のいくつかの大学を中継でつなぎ、ライブ配信でその様子をみなさんにお伝えします。どうぞお楽しみに！

On September 18th, GP successfully held the long-awaited offline event for the first time since almost half a year.

Under the continuing severe situation in which large scale gathering have become a relic of a pre-Covid-19 era, we struggled if we should go on or give up on taking place the event up until the last minute. However, many voices of both Japanese and international GP student members claiming for their “online fatigue” had not been overlooked anymore. Therefore, we thoroughly got everything ready in order to take all the precautions to prevent infection such as avoiding 3Cs, so that much less buzz during the event than GP’s usual offline gatherings, which was quite sad. After all, all participants took full advantage of this opportunity to build the new friendship respectively.

This gathering event was planned originally from the requests from GP’s affiliated organization, “Nagasaki University’s Volunteer Support Center -Yattemyu Desk”, who is responsible for the “Candle Night Across Nagasaki(*)” which will be held on October 9th. 

Participants enjoyed mingling over making LED candle filled with each individual’s wish and hope as well as their creativity. 

Even though online chat or digital art have become the “new normal” in the viral infection era, offline interaction and hand-made candles could always be the last resort to bring everyone smiles. This is all we learnt from this precious face-to-face get-together.

*Candle Night Across Nagasaki:

All the university/college students in Nagasaki will be connected online (ZOOM) and lit up LED candles at each site at the same time in the evening on Friday, October 9th. ZOOM streaming will be aired on Youtube as well so that Nagasaki’s youngsters beyond cities, sex, nationalities will build a bridge around Nagasaki with a sign of solidarity in a show of hope against Covid-19 pandemic.
