2日間の「出張！オープンキャンパス」が無事に終了しました！

県内11の大学・短大・高専に通う学生が集結し、各校の魅力をPRする本イベント。

今回は約3年ぶりの対面開催！事前申込制で佐世保60名・長崎120名の定員でしたが、受付開始から1週間程であっという間に予約が埋まる人気で、たくさんの方にご来場いただきました。

各校プレゼンブースでは、イキイキと学校紹介をする学生の姿が見られました。紹介プレゼン後も積極的に参加者からの質問を受けるなど、楽しそうに話す姿が印象的でした。

途中のステージ企画では、各校代表学生から進路選択の理由や学校生活等について聞くことができ、学生の「生」の声に興味を持った中高生も多かったのではないでしょうか。

最後はフリータイム！中高生と大学生がお互い積極的に声をかけ、良い雰囲気で個別相談をしていました。

開催後のアンケートでは、「今まで詳しく知らなかった学校の話を聞くことができ、興味の幅が広がった！」「進路を真剣に考えるきっかけになった！」等の感想をたくさんいただきました！(^^)

県北県南に関わらず県内の学生が協力して作り上げるイベントはなかなかありません。

このイベントを通して運営に参加した学生も、交流を深めることができたようです。

来場者にとっても運営学生にとっても有意義な時間となりました。

無事に対面開催できたこと、改めて嬉しく思います。

2月に開催予定の「出張！オープンキャンパス」に向けて、第二回学生合同企画会議を実施しました。県内11の大学・短大・高専の代表学生が参加し、対面で10名、オンライン（ZOOM）で7名、計17名の学生で話し合いました。

まずは自己紹介から始まり、生涯教育センター副センター長の酒井先生から「出張！オープンキャンパス」の概要説明が行われました。そして、スケジュールや準備内容の確認、過去に開催された様子の紹介を行い、最後は各校のプレゼンのブースを決めていきました。

このイベントは、中高生に対して各校の魅力を伝える重要な場となります。過去2年間は新型コロナウイルスの影響で、残念ながら対面での実施が叶いませんでした。今回こそは！という期待とともに動き始めたところです。

会議を終え、今後は具体的な運営について、代表学生を主体に連絡を取り合いながら準備を進めていきます。各校のプレゼン作りにも力が入ります！当日来場する中高生を惹きつけるようなプレゼンができるよう、そしてこの「出張！オープンキャンパス」が大成功に終わるよう、これから精一杯準備していきましょう！

まだ色々な制限もある中ですが、無事に開催できることを祈るばかりです。進学を考える中高生にも是非たくさん参加してほしいと思います！

2022年も残りわずか！ということで、今年最後のイベントとなる「お正月準備祭」をしました！同じ週に行った「クリスマスカード作り」と同様にたくさんの学生からお申込みがあり、計31名が集まりました！このイベントのためにGPに登録してくれた学生も多く、新しいGPメンバーと過ごす賑やかな会となりました。

いつものように、自己紹介とフリートークからスタート！今回は日本に来て間もない留学生もいたことから、英語を交えながらの会話がたくさん聞こえてきました。

フリートークが終わった後は、折り紙でしめ縄づくりをしました！これには、日本人学生も含めてみんなかなり苦戦…！(><) 企画した１年生や器用な学生が先生となり、教えて回るのに大忙しでした。グループのみんなで力を合せて頑張る姿が微笑ましかったです。無事に完成した時には、拍手が沸き起こるグループもありました。

折り紙を早く終えた学生、もしくは断念した学生から年賀状の作成に取りかかりました。留学生の中には、年賀状に興味を持ち、どこで買えるか質問する学生もいました。これを機に、誰かに新年のご挨拶を届けてくれたら嬉しいです。

イベント終了後も帰りたくないような様子で、みんなとても楽しんでくれたようです。今年最後のいい思い出になったと思います。来年の活動も楽しみです！

Only little bit left until a new year! so, we held “New Year Festival” to experience Japanese traditions! As well as the Christmas event, we received many applications and 30 members gathered! It was a lively event with new GP members.

As usual, the event started with self-introduction and free talk. I saw many students speaking English to communicate with international students who came to japan only a few months ago.

After the free conversation, they made a “Shime-nawa” with origami! Everyone had a really hard time with it …(><) The students who planned this event and who are good with hands got very busy with teaching everyone how to fold. It was heartwarming to see students working together as a team. There was even a group that broke into applause when they made it successfully.

Some students who finished or gave up origami could write “Nenga-jo”. There was an international student who’s interested in “Nenga-jo” and asked others where she could buy it. We hope this will be the first opportunity for international students to send New Year greetings to someone.

Even after the event, student didn’t leave soon and enjoyed talking. This event became a good memory at the end of the year! We look forward to having fun again next year!!

ボランティアの一環でもあるイベント「クリスマスカードを作り」を今年はGP学生の自主企画として実施しました！今回は、計23名のGP学生が参加してくれ、その半数以上が留学生という多国籍なイベントとなりました。

まずは、交流を深めるためのフリートークからスタート！グループに分かれ、準備された6つのトピックについて自由におしゃべりをしました。「クリスマスや年末の過ごし方」、「おすすめのご飯」など、各グループ楽しそうに話していました。最初は静かだった学生も、だんだん打ち解けて笑顔が見られるようになりました♪

仲が少し深まったところで、次はクリスマスカード作り！絵を描いたり、シールで飾りつけたり、みんなとても上手に作っていました。アイディアが浮かばない...と、なかなか手が動かなかった学生も、携帯で見本になるものを探して一生懸命作業をし、可愛らしいカードを完成させていました！最後は心のこもった可愛いカードがたくさん並べられ、眺めるだけでも笑顔になりました(^^) 作ったカードは幼稚園の子どもたちに送られるそうです。きっと受け取った子どもたちも喜んでくれると思います！

もらった人を笑顔にするクリスマスカードですが、それを作った学生達も楽しい時間を過ごせたと思います。GPメンバーの仲も深まる素敵なイベントとなりました！

We had an event to make Christmas Cards as part of volunteer work! Totally 23 students participated in this event, and more than half of them were international students. It was a multinational event!!

First of all, it started with a free talk to get to know each other! The students were separated into groups and chatted freely about six topics. Each group seemed to be having fun talking about "Customs of Christmas and New Year" ,“Food Recommendations" and etc. Though some students were quiet at first, gradually became more relaxed and started to show smiles♪

After students got a little closer, it was time to make Christmas cards! Some drew pictures, some decorated with stickers, and everyone made it very well! Even though there are some students who had a hard time to get ideas of how to make cards, they successfully made lovely cards by looking at samples on their phones! At the end, there were many lovely warm cards lined up, and it just made us smile. :) The cards will be sent to children in the kindergarten. I'm sure the children will be very happy too!

Receiving Christmas cards make people smile of course, but making it also gave us smile! This event helped GP members get closer and it must have been a wonderful memory for them!!

11月26日(土)と27日(日)、長崎市の水辺の森公園で「働く船の見学会」というイベントが行われ、GP学生たちもボランティアガイドとして参加しました。

このイベントは、海をテーマに活動するＮＰＯ法人が、長崎で活躍する船を知ってもらおう、と初めて企画したものです。海の砂を採取したり運搬したりする最新の船が公開され、子ども連れの家族などがその珍しい船の仕組みを見学しに来ました。参加者は大きな船に実際に乗り、砂を運ぶ巨大なコンベアー等を間近に見ることができました。ボランティアの学生たちは、ガイドをしながら船について学び、ドローンやVRゴーグルなども体験できたようです。

「ほかの港では造れないような船もいっぱい造っていることがわかった。珍しい船があることを他の人に知ってほしい。」「日本は子どものための体験学習が進んでいるとわかった。」等と話す学生もいました。このボランティア活動を通して、長崎で活躍する船を知るだけでなく、科学技術にも触れることができ、大変貴重な体験になったと思います。

On November 26th and 27th, a study tour was held on a ship at the port of "Mizube-no-mori" (Nagasaki Seaside Park), and students participated as volunteer guides.

This event was organized for the first time by a NPO in order to introduce Nagasaki ships to many people. They showed a ship that can be used to gather and transport gravel from seabed. A lot of families with children came to see it and volunteer students guided them. Visitors were able to actually board a large ship and see the heavy machinery and the conveyor carrying gravel up close. The volunteer students could also learn how the ship works and experience drones and VR goggles.

One of the volunteer students said, "I learned there are many ships which cannot be built in other ports and we cannot usually see. I want others to know about it." Another student said "I learned that Japan is advanced in hands-on learning for children." Through this volunteer experience, they could also experience the latest science and technology. It must have been a valuable experience for students.

9月に続き、２回目の「千々石の里山の再生」ボランテイア活動がありました。
今回はなんと、大学からバスで、雲仙市千々石の山中の岳地区にある古民家へ皆で向かいました。こんな奥深い山中に大型バスは通れる？と思わせるような道を進み、近くにはバス停もなく、自分で行くことは難しそうな秘境でした。

GPからは、5人の留学生と１人の日本人学生が他の学生と一緒に参加しました。

３グループに分かれ、何年も使われていない農耕地の雑草を刈る作業、畑にライ麦を植える作業、畑の肥料作りの為腐葉土を集める作業に分かれ、ローテーションで進めました。

作業自体は2時間程、重労働もありましたが、みんな手際よく動きました。

マムシが出ると聞いていたので、ドキドキしましたが、今回は見ることなく、また猪の巣など、山奥ならではの発見もありました。

主催者団体の方々に教えて頂きながら、新米のおにぎりや豚汁作りをしてとても美味しいお昼ご飯をみんなで食べることができました。

帰りのオーガニックのお店、「タネト」に立ち寄った頃には、みんなとても打ち解けた雰囲気で遠足のお土産タイムのような雰囲気でした。

青空の下、美しい山の緑と綺麗な空気、水、食べ物、古き日本の暮らしを感じることができた活動でした！

In October 23^rd, we ran our second volunteer day with the ‘Chijiwa no Satoyama Restoration Project’ from this September! 

We chartered a bus from the University to Chijiwa in Unzen city. Was our bus able to go through to the deep mountain’s road? Yes, it was! There were no bus stops around there, the place is difficult for students to get to by themselves.   

5 international students and 1 Japanese student from GP joined a group of other students-30 in total. We separated into 3 groups. We did lots of jobs such as maintaining the old abandoned fields, carrying lumber and mowing the grass. We also planted rye in the fields and collected mulch to make fertilizer for the fields. 

We took turns, and all students did the same duties. 

First, we heard that there were some vipers around, it was so scary to hear that! However, to my relief, we did not encounter any. We found a boar’s den. We don’t see nature like this in our city life. 

All the volunteering took about 2 hours, we did some hard work, furthermore, I am proud of all students, who did their best! 

Some students cooked fresh rice balls, and miso soup with people from this volunteer organization, and all these were absolutely delicious. We enjoyed them after all the volunteering work! 

On the way to the University, we stopped off at the organic food market, and we had a good time shopping with today’s new friends. 

On this day, we experienced beautiful green nature, fresh air, water, and agricultural food, and experienced what life in Japan used to be like. 

待ちにまったGP交流会を開催することができました。

1年生が7名、留学生が１３名、そしてGP上級生と総勢25名もの学生が参加しました。

始めは、テーブル毎の自己紹介から始まり、GPの紹介動画を見て、詳しい活動内容の紹介がありました。次は席替えをして、どんなイベントをこれからGPの皆で何をしたいか、それぞれのグループで話し合いました。

学生からの提案では、季節のハロウィンパーティー、長崎めぐり、ハイキング、九州旅行、雪を見に行きたい、和菓子つくり、tea party,　運動会、書初め大会　等々。どれもとても楽しそうな内容が盛りだくさんですね。この中から多数決を採ると和菓子つくりに多くの賛同がありました。

これからのGPの活動がとても楽しみです！

GP held GP meeting!.

７ fresh students, 13 international students, and other senior students came along, so there were 25sutdensts came along!

First, we ｔｒｉｅｄ to know each other, so we did self-introduction in each group, and watched GP short movies. We changed the seats, and talked the events what we want to hold.

Halloween party, sightseeing in Nagasaki, hiking, travel in Kyushu, seeing snow, Japanese sweets, tea party, sport festival, New Year's calligraphy competition, and so on. All ideas excite us!

We voted among these,’ Japanese sweets’ was chosen!!

Let’s do fun activities together!

荒天や川の水位の影響で二回延期となったボランティアが、9/11に無事開催できました。

3名の留学生と、4名の日本人学生がGPから参加しました。去年に引き続き、二年連続参加した学生もいました！

世界の子供たちが描いた画を貼った灯籠船を川に運び、ろうそくに明かりをともし、平和の願いをこめて、川へ流す活動です。

大学生以外の普段、関わる機会の少ない国や年代の人と関わることができ、良い経験ができたという感想を聞くことができました。

平和について考え行動をして、様々な形で参加者は平和活動ができるということを学べたのではないでしょうか。

Due to the bad weather, the postponed event had been held on 9.11 finally!

Three international and four Japanese students from GP joined this work. Two of them continued to work from last year!

Volunteer duties set the lantern-ships that were drawn by children from all over the world and DIY volunteers beforehand, lit the candles, released the lanterns in the river, and photo/video shooting as well post-ceremony cleanup.

Thinking of peace with this action, and we could find so many ways to contribute for peace.

プレゼン大会が終わり、振り返りと今後の活動について話し合う為の会議を開きました。

長崎総合科学大学、長崎短期大学の学生たちとは、zoomでつながり、鎮西大学、長崎大学の学生達は対面での参加となりました。

途中企画に参加してくれた一年生、大会を引っ張ってくれた二年生、きめ細やかなフォローをたくさんしてくれた三年生、総勢8名です。

本番前までは、心配な部分もあったが、当日は満足な形となったと、それぞれ振り返りの想いを伝えました。

酒井先生からは、学生が満足したという感想を聞けて良かった、その成功体験が次のステップに繋がるので、頑張って欲しいというお言葉を頂きました。

そして今後の活動について。

プレゼン大会ではじめてGPに入ってくれた学生との親睦を深める為に、8月後半にカフェトークを開き、具体的な今後のイベントを話そうとなりました。モザイクアート、料理、平和さるく、施設見学（水族館のバックヤード等）、バスツアーに観光巡りと意見が出ました。次回の集まりでは、具体的に話が進めて、形にできると良いですね。

2022年後半とても楽しみです。

We had a regular meeting on July.

We talked about the 9th presentation competition, and activities what we want to try from now on. 

Students from Nagasaki Institute of Applied Science and Nagasaki Junior College attended on this with zoom, and others from Chinzei Gakuin University, and Nagasaki University came to room #601.

They told their feelings after this big event, and they all feel with full of satisfaction. 

Prof. Sakai mentioned ‘I am very happy for hearing satisfaction. It helps next step, so please keep on making effort.’

Next, we are looking for new events.

We planed to hold a café talk event on August with new students who have joined from this year. We want to know more and more each other, and let’s have fun time together! Mozaic art, cooking, strolling in Nagasaki town, visiting aquarium backyard, and bus tourist. So, what shall we do for next?!
